Publishing Event using webservice data collector

Hi

i want to publish a event(Document) using webservice data collector dimensionalData interface...i have generated the wsdl client and i have tried to add an event using client object.the program executes successfuly and a message is logged on WebService Data Collector console that sending 1 unknown event.......but this event is not published on Broker........
i just want to make sure that if a event is published using webservice data collector then its publish count on broker should b updated.....
please suggets some action step to resolve this problem.
