Do I need Report Engine CentraSite GE?

We are planning to install CentraSite. Can I run cetraSite without report engine? Can I able to run reports without Report Engines? How they do it?

CentraSite GE supports the following report engines:
�� Jasper Reports 1.3.1
�� iReports 1.3.1
