Can anyone point me to some tutorials?... any starting points with sample integrations would be good too...

Ken,

There is a very good Developer Tutorial available for webMethods Partners on the advantage site.

There is also a tutorial (ISDevTutorial.pdf in Developer4\doc) and accompanying services in the WmSamples package that are installed by default.

Hi, ramwm.

Aside from the suggestion above, I'd say the best way to learn is to poke around the software. The webMethods-produced tutorials are helpful but you'll need to explore the limits of the software on your own to really get a feel for how it can help you with your Business Integration initiatives.

If you haven't found the webMethods Advantage (http://advantage.webmethods.com) Web site, spend some time there reading the official webMethods documentation for its products. Read up on the product raodmap and be sure to download white papers for your own research.

Also, spend time at wMUsers and read the webMethods Ezine. There are new articles every month and a large list of archived articles. The webMethods Ezine is written by the best webMethods developers, administrators and managers in the field. The articles give deep coverage to all sorts of webMethods-related topics. The webMethods Ezine can be found at http://www.wmusers.com/ezine/ (http://www.wmusers.com/ezine/).

Like anything else, mastering webMethods takes time. There are so many facets to the product, a person can be an expert and still not know a thing. If that sounds weird, just ask around and you'll see that others agree. That is why the webMethods User Community is so stong -- we all have something to contribute to the group.

Hope this gives you a start. Good luck with everything.
