Hello everyone
I just cought an interesting discussion on EAI regarding TIBCO asking Reuters to reduce share ownership. I have interest in both products WM and TIBCO and I though what was interesting that people noted that if Reuters does drop some of its 42% owhership to say 20% as TIBCO wants than it will make current TIBCO customers look into other tools like webMethods because many of them chose TIBCO because it was backed by Reuters. The main driver for this action from TIBCO side if financial to reduce risk to stock. But I am wondering if it may mark a shift in Integration market towards WM. As recently I found several large companies doing conversion from Mercator to webMethods for EDI as Mercator is also showing financial losses. Although an excelent product for EDI transaltion its being droped in favor of WM. I jus wanted to share my thoughts.
