RMG, there is a GEAR 6 document called "Performance Tuning Whitepaper (GEAR 6 Performance Tuning White Paper.pdf). There are also a few GEAR (pre-version 6) Performance documents available.
The IS Administrators Guide (ISAdministratorsGuide.pdf) also offers performance tips.
