We are currently seeking a Business Process Management (BPM) Sr. Software Engineer to join us in our Enterprise Services Group.

 

 The Enterprise Services Group is responsible for designing and implementing an IT infrastructure that is robust, flexible, scalable, and secure that supports the Strategic Initiatives of AutoTrader.com. Our Business Process Management Senior Software Engineer will be responsible for designing, developing, and implementing application business process integration projects using the webMethods Business Processes Management Suite (BPMS). In addition to strong technical skills, the role requires excellent communication skills with team members, business analysts, and colleagues at different levels.  In addition, the successful candidate must be able to work with minimal supervision on multiple concurrent projects and to coordinate the work of others in this environment. Candidates applying should have a proven track record of delivering business process management solutions in a fluid, fast-paced work environment. 

SUMMARY OF RESPONSIBILITIES:

    Mentor fellow software engineers on best practices for using the webMethods BPMS.         Lead discussions within and outside immediate team about capabilities and proper application of BPM and impacts of solutions.         Design and develop new or maintain existing business processes using the webMethods BPMS.         Use webMethods Designer to assemble business processes consisting of flow services, web-services, business rules, and human tasks.       Use webMethods Developer to build Java, Flow, and other services.        Use the Blaze Rules Engine to develop business rules.        Define technical scope and objectives through research and participation in requirements gathering and definition processes.         Work extensively with Enterprise Architecture team to determine applicability of design alternatives; identify and recommend the most cost effective options to meet the needs of the project.        Interface as necessary with all critical integration points to insure that application and processes are integrated successfully and efficiently with all requested applications.        Adhere to all applicable development policies, procedures and standards.       Participate in functional test planning and testing for the assigned application integrations, functional areas, and solutions.       Share knowledge by effectively documenting work.       Maintain expert level of knowledge in BPMS.       Develop and maintain a thorough knowledge of the assigned application integrations, functional areas, and solutions.      Work with the team to ensure the quality of coordinated business functions.         Respond quickly and effectively to production issues and take responsibility for seeing those issues through resolution. 

KEY OBJECTIVES:     Learn and maintain current workflow processes within 30 days of hire.       Take on responsibilities for technical design within 30 days of hire.         Develop expertise with webMethods BPM suite within 30 days.  

QUALIFICATIONS: Bachelors of Science in Computer Science or equivalent industry experience.   Must be able to contribute in a team environment in a leadership role.     Must be detail oriented.       Excellent oral and written communication skills.      Excellent customer service skills.  Excellent analytical and problem solving skills Minimum of three years in experience with the following:   Designing and developing applications for enterprise workflow using webMethods BPMS,      Designing and developing technical specs,       Java, J2EE, JMS, Web Services, and other application integration related technologies.   Unix or Linux .      Working with relational databases, Oracle preferred.
