Cabela´s, the World´s Foremost Outfitter of hunting and fishing gear, is looking for an EIA System Administrator to work in IT department at our Corporate Office in Sidney, Nebraska. The EAI System Administrator is responsible for the installation, administration, and maintenance and troubleshooting of various EAI components to support production and various developments and test environments. FTE preferred but Contract-to-hire will be considered as well. Job Description; - Lead the EAI group in deployments of test and production systems related to new development, testing, maintenance and architectural changes.
- Lead, represent and coordinate the EAI group in the change management process / practices and provide support of impact assessments for all systems.
- Coordinate system administration with related application support team members to troubleshoot issues and ensure operational readiness as it relates to integration of mission critical systems.
- Provide production support in a timely manner and rotational on-call support during non-business hours.
- Support the maintenance of version control systems and current system documentation.
- Develop and document system maintenance tasks, schedules and project status reports.
- Assist in the continuous improvement of processes and standards for the middleware and monitoring environments in accordance with industry best practices.
- Contribute to the Enterprise’s architectural direction while translating project requirements into technical specifications and solutions.
- Apply development skills, database and operating system knowledge to extend and enhance complex integrations with custom and off-the-shelf systems.
Skills / Competencies Required: - Knowledge and skill in administering one or more of the following software: webMethods, BEA, IBM WebSphere in a UNIX environment.
- Solid working experience and understanding of technologies such as Broker, Integration Server, JMS messaging and UNIX/Linux operating systems.
- Understanding of multiple integration methodologies and implementation considerations.
- Working knowledge of web servers.
- System monitoring across multiple platforms and business process impact assessment experience.
- System troubleshooting experience and knowledge of standard troubleshooting methods.
- Excellent communication skills.
- Technical documentation experience.
- Good understanding of relational DBMS systems - Oracle and DB2.
- Middleware support experience in troubleshooting, diagnosis, and resolution.
- Working knowledge and experience in Java and J2EE technologies.
- Knowledge of project implementation methods and SDLC methodology.
