The Systems Analyst (Middleware) supports, installs, patches, and provides first level support for the enterprise middleware infrastructure. This position is an opportunity for someone with a passion for IT to learn new skills in the growing field of middleware.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
* Supports and helps improve new and existing solutions that address business issues and needs. * Keeps the middleware environments up and available to the business and the solutions that rely upon the middleware environment.
* Leads the install of upgrades, patches and general maintenance of the various middleware products and services.
* Deploys and configures the middleware solutions in the test and production environments.
* Sets a standard for logging and transaction visibility that the business and other IT groups can use to understand and manage their transactions.
* Verifies and confirms that the middleware services and processes adhere to the technology roadmaps and technology directions of the enterprise.
* Provides 24X7 availability, primarily during business hours, to support the growing use of the middleware architecture that includes webMethods, Informatica and Enterprise Scheduler.
* Ensures the ongoing success of the enterprise architecture.

REQUIREMENTS:
* Bachelor's degree in computer science, MIS or a closely related field OR an equivalent combination of education and experience.
* At least three years of IT experience in an enterprise environment.
* Broad set of skills, with expertise in applications, systems and system integration and overall knowledge of networks, servers, desktops, databases, etc.
* Strong background in various IT systems. Middleware knowledge such as webMethods, websphere, Tibco, Oracle Middleware preferred.
* Familiarity of XML, XSD, HTTP, webMethods, Informatica, SQL Server and Oracle tools preferred. This job is in a career ladder. You will be placed into the job on the career ladder which best matches your demonstrated abilities.
