DESIGN AND DEVELOPMENT
Hands on design and development software applications/systems and projects Lead team analysis of business requirements Provide translation of business requirements into object oriented systems design. Implement design based on documented design Document implementation based on standards set by department Establish or update standards as required by departmental needs Evaluate and recommend software alternatives Utilize webMethods effectively and efficiently in design and development processes
TEST
Responsible overall quality of assigned software applications and projects Demonstrate that software and projects meet business requirements based on standards set by department. Demonstrate that software and projects meet quality requirements based on standards set by department.
MAINTENANCE
Responsible for ongoing maintenance of assigned and unassigned applications and projects Enhance applications based on new/changing business requirements Report, research, correct, and test defects in applications
OTHER
Provide proactive new tool/language analysis and method of application to enhance development Provide architecture input to increase performance and quality of applications, in coordination with other units to insure impact of changes of agreed to and understood Mentor staff in existing and new technology tools Provide support system administration
| | | | Qualifications | MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
BS or BA degree in computer science or related field or equivalent experience 10 years of software engineering experience in development and production arenas for complex, enterprise wide applications 3 year(s) object oriented programming experience Experience with object oriented design methodologies Proven abilities to apply and enhance software development and design methodologies Web technology knowledge 4 years WebMethods experience (experience with related products will be considered) 1 year Java experience 3 years XML experience
