PROTEPO is currently seeking webMethods consultants. The candidates for this pivotal position should be capable of working independently or leading teams and have the ability to effectively communicate with customers to gain insight and develop solutions to meet their business needs. They will be required to deliver total integration of systems and business processes, internal and external to the enterprise.

The candidates' key responsibilities may include:

* Being recognized as an expert on one or more application vendors/products
* Conducting effective meetings with well prepared presentations and demonstrations
* Assisting clients designing and deploying system wide integration strategies
* Gathering and validating system requirements
* Documenting business processes
* Providing architectural guidance and documenting complex conceptual designs

* Nurturing and fostering the PROTEPO business relationship with the customers
* Participate in growing the webMethods integration practice, and suggest improvements
* Support sales efforts and contribute to overall recruiting decisions
* Capture knowledge capital from each engagement
* Conduct workshops and effectively transfer knowledge on an informal and formal basis
* Author white papers and contribute content to the PROTEPO integration library

Qualifications:

- Bachelor's degree in computer science or related field. Master's is a plus.

Required Experience:

- 4 years of customer facing consulting experience required.
- In depth knowledge of the webMethods Integration Server
- SAP Business Connector or the webMethods SAP adapter versions 4.x & 6.x
- ALE/IDOC/BAPI/RFC is a major plus
- webMethods Broker, and webMethods Trading Networks
- Java/C /object oriented programming and Distributed computing
- XML exposure, development using XML
- RDBMS (any of Oracle, Informix, DB2, SQL Server, Sybase)
- Unix or NT experience
- EAI, middleware, or other integration experience at the enterprise level
- E-commerce, web servers (Netscape, Microsoft) or web-application servers


Desired experience:

- Any of: EDI and EDIINT, Optimize, Monitor, Modeler, Workflow, Portal
- webMethods certification
- Familiarity and interest in open source java systems

Vertical applications/industry experience helpful (any of the following):
- CRM (Siebel, Clarify, Vantive, other)
- ERP (PeopleSoft, SAP, Baan, Oracle Applications, JDE)
- Telecommunications, Financial Services, Manufacturing, Chemicals, Automotive
- E-Commerce (Broadvision, ATG, B2B or other)
- RosettaNet
- MRO Procurement, Supply chain, or logistics business process reengineering/strategy.


Consulting skills:

- Must be able to gather end-user requirements for business processes
- Perform application design activities (e.g., writing technical specs)
- Contribute project estimates and work plans
- Follow development processes, standards, and guidelines
- Work in an organized and results-oriented manner.
- Complete tasks within budget and timelines
